Win or lose tonight, it will come down to the three game set this weekend at Fenway. The Yankees have been playing great and we have been playing crappy. My hope is that we get on a streak and the evil empire peters out. No matter what, this series will be the stuff of legends...you can't help but feel something in the air when Boston and New York play. With Wells, Wakefield and Schilling pitching, I feel pretty good about our chances. The last great game Schilling played was against the Yankees, so I'm hopeful. Go Sox!!

Off to the game this afternoon!!! SO completely psyched! We pretty much have the "Bartman" seats in the box at the end of the third base line. Bringing my glove (don't worry - I won't interfere! But I WILL knock down kids and old people to bring home a ball!)
Here's hoping my great mood continues...

Sunday, Oct. 2nd:
CRAP CRAP CRAP!!!
Well folks, it was a lovely day at Fenway. The sun was warm (got some great color), the seats were AWESOME - right on the third base line, AT the wall. I could lean over and grab Fenway clay (not that I did, Mr Policeman), and Jeter was 3 feet away from me during batting practice as he and A-Rod (are they twins, or what?) played catch. I could've easily spit on him. And in retrospect, I wish I had.
The Sox stunk. It was like they were thinking about what to have for dinner and not concentrating on the game. And to make matters worse, it was so confusing as to what was at stake with this game and with what Cleveland was doing, no one at Fenway (except maybe sports writers) realized at the end that the Yankees had won the AL East!
So today I sulk.
