Business description: Hello, my name is Tere Bowen-Irish. I am a resident of the Seacoast and have just become a Certified Yogakids Facilitator. Yogakids International is a worldwide organization fostering the use of yoga with children of any age to promote physical health, compliment education/academics and reduce stress, increasing coping skills. I am an occupational therapist that has practiced in school systems for 20 plus years. (I currently work at Stratham memorial part time. I have opened up this new practice at My OmYoga studio which is owned by Rochelle Jewell. I am also hoping to work in schools in the local area. Yogakids International is owned by Marsha Wenig and is based out of Indiana. The philosophy is based on the Multiple Intelligences Theory of learning by Howard Gardner. I see all types of children typical and those with diagnosis of autism, adhd, cerebral palsy, downs syndrome etc..I had found that yoga is a wonderful bridge for children to relate to parents, take up a physical activity that is achievable and non competative. Would you be interested in featuring my new pursuits? If you have any questions or another segment of your newspaper this would be appropriate for, please let me know. Thanks for your time, Tere Bowen-Irish p.s. I am a published author in the profession of Occupational Therapy of articles and a poster/manual system for classroom use if this is applicable.
