Business description: The Pearl is being re-opened as a function hall and meeting space. It is located at 45 Pearl Street, off Islington Street, just two blocks from the Public Library. It is on the National Register of Historic Places and a stop on the Portsmouth Black Heritage Trail. Originally built in 1857, the building retains many of its distinctive features; the two story windows topped with stained glass, the curved staircase and balcony and the pressed tin ceiling. The Portsmouth Pearl is available for functions of all kinds including weddings, company and family gatherings.
