Where have I been?

No, not really...

Since my absence of about a year, I've been extremely busy. New school, living back home, and trying to survive as a film goer in our rural area. Here's my top ten from 2007:

I want the blood. And you should too.

10. Broken English
9. Bridge to Terabithia
8. Away from Her
7. Hairspray
6. The Darjeeling Limited
5. No Country for Old Men
4. Zodiac
3. The Diving Bell and the Butterfly
2. Control
1. There Will Be Blood

Overall, I was disappointed with the year- that's not to negate the films that I did place in my top 10, but it was fairly easy to decide which would make the list, since there were hardly more than a dozen films that I did enjoy thoroughly.

Really. Stupid. Vampires

Pinning down the worst pictures of the year isn't always as broad for me as a critic compared to others - since I have to be selective in what I see most of the time, this list generally happens when you attempt to see good films which end up being anything but. The films to be on my alleged worst list would be... ::

10. Beowulf
9. Hostel: Part II
8. Juno
7. The Number 23
6. Underdog
5. Margot at the Wedding
4. Across the Universe
3. 300
2. Transformers
1. 30 Days of Night

Since last year is mostly behind me, where do I go from here? I'll highlight some of the best and worst films I've seen in the year so far in the next entry.
