The Associated Press has lost its mind. Bias? Good Grief. One only need click on a story by the AP, Reuters, or the Communist AFP news service to read the bias for themselves. I think these reporters must literally trip over each other proving that they are the "best" liberal, the most "tolerant," or the most PC. What a joy those editorial meetings must be. Who bought the Latte? Oh Jim, that's cool, he's the boss, the man, he's got plenty of money. Ug.
Obviously they push for democrats to win Presidential Elections and only try to help republicans if they know that the republican in question will hurt the front running republican or if the republican jumps away from rank and file republicans that support our President. See John Sununu coverage, re: Gonzales. Cripes, it was in 40 point font in just about every paper and online services that Sununu called for Gonzales to step down. Nora O'Donnell practically laid an egg in her excitement to report it on MSNBC By the way, thanks John.
But the one that really just nailed me, was from Liz Sidoti from the Associated press. Here is the opening sentence of her (if it is a "her") story: "Republican presidential contender John McCain on Friday used the term 'tar baby,' considered by some a racial epithet, and later said he regretted it."
Considered by some? Some? Tar baby? Only some people consider that a racial epithet? Even Mississippi republicans in the Klan think that's a racial epithet. But once again, if McCain, as he does often, jumps ship from rank and file republicans, and slams other more republican republicans, then tar baby ain't so bad to the AP.
The AP will go out of its way this election cycle to insert little qualifying comments in its news stories all designed to fulfill their insatiable lust to become the story and make the news instead of simply reporting it. So, I guess according to the AP "tar baby" is only an insult to some. I will have to throw it out at the next dinner party and see which "some."
