Here we have Katherine Heigl looking like an angel in white... She is always so perfect on the red carpet, in a nonirritating way. How can you not love this woman? I'm so happy she won, for more than just her outfit. Eva Longoria was loving the attention of the paparazzi. She looks good, and she's wearing more than a bathing suit - good job,

Eva! Finally, we have the BEAUTIFUL, young Kristen Bell (aka Veronica Mars) looking gorgeous in a strapless dress that is a beautiful shade of bluish lavender. She'll be starring on the next season on Heroes soon.

My favorite couples on the red carpet were Rebecca Romijn and Jerry O'Connell - her vintage dress had an understated flapper vibe, and was absolutely beautiful and unique.

Ellen Degeneres and Portis Di Rossi were also a very sweet couple together, and Portia, now that she has put on a little weight, is looking beautiful and healthy, rather than anorexic.

Finally, and I’m sure Debbie will have more opinions of her own to add, my (Mary’s) top three picks for women who need to a) hire a new stylist; b) never dress themselves for such an important event again; or c) look in the mirror before they have that first martini... are Jenna Fischer – love you on The Office, but what is going on with that bow???

Kate Walsh – you are another one of my favorite actresses, but what was that lump on the side of your head? Did you pay someone to do that?

Young Hayden Panettiere, who at least has inexperience as an excuse, covered up her lovely young body in a dress that could have easily hidden three or four toddlers underneath. Wearing her hair pinned back only accentuated how enormous her bottom half is in that dress. Sometimes a good designer is not enough.

Everyone knows the Emmys are really more about fashion than anything else. Oh yeah, and the after-parties…
