Final Gossip Girl of 2008

The good news... the episode of Gossip Girl that will air on Monday, Dec.8, looks AMAZING. (Check out scenes below.) The bad news... it's the final new episode of 2008.

At the end of the Dec. 1 episode, we know Bart Bass has been in an accident. The preview shows Chuck Bass in a shady exchange, presumably buying information about why Lily was in an institution in France years ago. I have no idea how Rufus comes into play in this storyline, but he's all over the preview scenes, and Lily and Rufus have such amazing chemistry; I love watching any scenes where they interact. Whatever Chuck learns about Lily "disgusts" him, but I just can't imagine what Lily's big secret could be.

Searching Youtube for Lily & Rufus scenes just goes to how I'm not the only one who can't get enough of these two together! The video below is a fan video of top ten Rufus/Lily moments from Season One.

I can't wait to see how the Vanessa/Jenny storyline plays out. Last week Jenny dressed Vanessa in a sheer gown that she claimed she designed, although it looked nothing like any of her other designs. The idea was to get Vanessa in the spotlight at the ball, so the whole room would see her nakedness through the sheer dress. I couldn't help feel sorry for Vanessa, but I guess I was more surprised by how evil Jenny could be to Vanessa, her brother's best friend. Jenny didn't win any points with Nate, who is suddenly hooked on Vanessa again.

Also, an update on the spin-off rumors. According to an article I just found online, there will be a Gossip Girl spin-off sometime 2009-2010, but it will not focus on Jenny or be modeled after The It Girl books. Read the full story here. Any guess as to which character may get his or her own show?

The first new episode of 2009 will air on Monday, January 5.

Hopefully Serina will be ditching greaseball artist Aaron soon, but until then, at least we can all laugh at his horrible "art."
I mean, seriously, what is going on with those painted on sunglasses?

Mark Roesler, Bettie Page's agent and attorney, said Friday that Page is "critically ill." He says she suffered a heart attack Tuesday and remains hospitalized, but would not comment further on her condition.

Page is one of the most famous and iconic models of the 20th century. She is credited with helping set the stage for the sexual revolution of the 1960s. She is most well-known for her pin-ups.
