Where to go for Valentine's Day ..add ons

I've been getting loads of emails about where to go for Valentine's Day (yes, one of the busiest restaurant days of the year) so I'm going to be posting a running list of what I find out as I go along in terms of special dinners in the area. Here's what I have so far:

Bonta in Hampton is one romantic spot. http://www.bonta.net

They're doing a special menu dinner on Feb. 12 and the 14th as well. Check out this menu---oysters, baby!

The Metro in Portsmouth http://www.themetrorestaurant.com is also doing a special dinner along with the regular menu.

The set menu is $95 per couple and include a glass of champagne with dessert. The first course is an artichoke and lobster Souffle (mmmmm),with Toast Points, followed by Watercress Salad with Onion Mango Ginger Dressing. The entree is an Oven Roasted Filet
Mignon topped with Gorgonzola, Shallots, and Cognac Sauce. The Grande Finale is a Chocolate Grand Marnier Mousse paired with Champagne.

Crescent Cit Bistro http://www.crescentcitybistro.com

will have a five-course set menu for $50 per person which will include many aphrodisiacs such as oysters, olives and chocolate. They're already at over 50 reservations so book soon!

The nearby Orchard St. Chop Shop http://www.orchardstreetchopshop.com is doing their regualar menu but with a number of great specials. New drinks will be presented at both restaurants that evening as well and all the ladies get a carnation too.
